Free Demonstration Lesson
Before applying to be a student, every interested person can visit the School and have a free demonstration lesson.
They will:

See how materials are used for improving conversation skills

Practice some of the exercises with sounds that are unusual in English

Have a lesson with the listening skills materials and understand how they can improve their listening skills

Be able to ask questions about the materials and request other materials

Discuss the teaching methods used in the classes
Free Lessons
The School offers students the following series of free classes about the American government.
Purpose: To help the School's students and their friends to (1) understand the important issues they read about in the American media, and (2) have useful background for preparing reports for their companies and agencies.
Method: By offering a series of 8 free lectures on the following topics:

Origin of Federal and State Governments in Colonial History: Still fighting each other and Washington like Colonies!!

The Constitution: The power struggle between President Bush and the Congress on the economy and the war.

The Bill of Rights Amendments: Carrying guns and protecting our privacy during the War on Terrorism: What is Constitutional?

Congress, the President, the Courts: Who makes the final decision on abortion?

Departments and Agencies: Is our food safe, our water clean enough to drink, and the air safe to breathe?

The Federal Budget: Is Iraq bankrupting America? Will Social Security go bankrupt?

Federal and State Courts: Why States battle the EPA over auto emissions and global warming in the Courts

Trials and Juries: Who gets a fair trial in America: A white man or a black man?
The lectures will be given in the above order over a 4 month period.
Students and their friends can decide to attend any of the lectures or all of the lectures.
You may begin with any lecture and take the others when they are available.
Cost: No cost to our students and their friends.
Date and Times of Lectures: Lectures will be held on the first and third Thursdays of every month from 4:00pm to 5:30pm for 4 months. Please call the School to confirm times and dates.
Reservations: Please contact the School for reservations for the lectures you want to attend. You may reserve for one lecture at a time.
